About the band:
KACAJ is a folk-pop band based in Pécs that started out in 2020. What makes them special is that they cover a wide range not only in terms of age group but also in terms of musical genres. From alternative rock to hip hop, the band's sound incorporates numerous stylistic elements, with Hungarian folk music serving as the connecting thread. Their goal is to promote the values of folk music to as wide an audience as possible, thereby reaching younger generations as well. Their songs are progressive, yet pop-oriented, and full of joy. Their energetic, rural vibe guarantees a spectacular concert experience. If you don't believe it, check them out!
About the opening acts:
HIPNÓZIA
Five girls, five instruments, plus whoever can sing.
Sophisticated melodies, violin trills, unexpected rock riffs.
Somewhere between indie and folk rock fusion.
BOYONGÓ
Boyongó is a band native to Hungary, increasingly found throughout the country. Their natural habitats are smaller festivals, clubs, cheaply rented garages, and temporarily occupied living rooms and backyards. Their change of location is characterized by barefoot dancing in some places and village program minibuses in others. Their nourishment comes mainly from rare folk songs, modern fusion elements, and a significant amount of emotion. As a result, Boyongó tends to produce both quiet, soft, and authentic sounds, as well as wild, loud, and unrestrained noise, which is sometimes spiced up with something to say. Seeing Boyongó is a rare experience, so don't miss it if you can help it!
Turbina Cultural Center
Turbina Cultural Center houses an ever-growing set of musical and art events in the heart of the 8th district.
