Schedule

Hello, everyone!

We are returning with the MOHA party series, which is essentially the same (music, parties, and movies), but with a completely different setting. In this fast-paced world, we are also getting started, diving headfirst into the mysteries of the new school year. At our first party this year, we'll be letting off steam together with the SZFE students. And, by the way, we'll be getting ready for the Christmas madness.

This event is the starting point for something bigger, where the works of our little film department will be mixed with the works of students from other art universities.

So, what you need to remember is: first stop SZFE, location the inimitable GÖDÖR, and the date is DECEMBER 22, so get ready for your grandfather's Christmas political debate.

This is how we will merge with the students and works of SZFE, but don't worry, we'll be there too. In case you don't know who we are, we'll describe it below!

PROGRAM: 6:00-7:45 p.m. FILM SCREENING:

1. Nagy Iza – Return

A decent woman arrives in Budapest to try her luck, but luck eludes her, and she even loses her decency for a moment, but she does everything she can to regain it.

2. Péter Dóczé – Hybris – 7:50 p.m.

The perspective of online content creators meets national trauma, and in this, no one can be right.

3. Máté Somorjai – Perspective Film – Short

A film plan that will become a film, but in fact we can see both, the film and the film plan, and so this is the film itself, in which we can follow the life stories of two glasses.

4. Dani Nagy – Bathing – long

The mood evokes friendly vacations at Lake Balaton, when the lake is far away and no one feels like going. In this film, Lake Balaton is also far away, very far away, because they are not there, but in the end they do go somewhere to bathe, and that is what matters.

5. Luca Pető – Budapest 2071 – 4:55

We get a glimpse of what the idea of 2071 is, but in reality, the break occurs beyond the constructed world in that time does not pass equally. It is both the trauma of the future and the past.

6. Liza Vera Vajdai – Neither With You Nor With Me – long

Breaking up is a long process. In many cases. This film also shows the aftermath of two people deciding not to continue together. We get to know the relationship from the aftermath, not from the relationship itself.

7. Minna Szolnoki – The Father, the Son and the French Fries – 10:33

The confessional can mean many things, and in this film it means many things at once. The dialogue between the priest and the seminarian humorously highlights sensitive issues, and while critical, everyone can find redemption between French fries, the Holy Trinity, and Star Wars.

8. Gazsi Adonyi-Walsh – Where the Fish Are Gone – 12:40

At Christmas, many things are important and many things slip away. This is true in general, of course, but at this time of year there is more to it. A little boy sets out on his own path and, because it is really important, he sets off even when he wakes up from his dream.

9. Bianka Szelestey – As If It Were Necessary – 3:55 p.m.

A family sets off for Christmas, and they don't always notice what's happening right away; sometimes it takes a minute or two, or at least a glance. Even the youngest character is now an adult, experiencing nostalgia in his quiet presence, not just the present.

10. Alicia Lara – Moszkva Square – short

We are at Moscow Square, which is now Széll Kálmán Square, but everyone calls it Moscow Square, including me, even though I have never been to Moscow Square when it was called Moscow Square. We could say that it is a relationship drama, but we are at Széll Kálmán Square, but that is not the point.

9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

PARTY!

That is: GECÓ ÉS A FA, LOW C, BÁLINT, PAPAGUY

The event is free! :)

Come, spread the word, bring your grandma too!

And what we promised to those who are hearing about us for the first time! We are the Mohások, or (MOzgókép HAllgatók), who are studying film directing at Eltén. Film directing is a practical training, so we make films almost all the time. Our program started in 2020, and this year the 6th Mohás class started their training. Unfortunately, we don't get any financial support for our films, which is partly why we started organizing screenings. So these are the Mohás parties, which aim to promote ourselves and let more and more people know who we are and what we do. If you're reading this because you don't know, come and party with us! :)
