We cordially invite you to a public guided tour of our exhibition entitled "Why Not Live Forever?" – a selection from the collection of Dezső Tandori (1938–2019).
The tour will be led by art historian Nikolett Kokas.

Since Dezső Tandori's death in 2019, work has been underway to process his enormous estate. The poet preserved almost everything and consciously built and organized his own archive. However, the contents of his art collection have remained a secret until now.

Our exhibition, Why Not Live Forever? – A Selection from the Collection of Dezső Tandori (1938–2019), makes this exciting material available for the first time, thanks to the research and curatorial work of art historian Nikolett Kokas. The exhibition is both a moving and an honoring occasion: a tribute to the intellectual legacy and memory of Dezső Tandori.
During the guided tour, Nikolett Kokas shares exciting details about, among other things, Tandori's relationship with the visual arts, artists, and images in his literary work, as well as the special connections he had with the spaces of his home, carefully secluded from the outside world, with birds and teddy bears.
