Karitatíva Association announces a film competition for young creators, independent filmmakers, and civil organizations who wish to reflect on current issues affecting our society in the form of film.

🎯 The aim of the initiative is to create opportunities for creative, sensitive, and honest expression, and to encourage society to engage in collective thinking and dialogue through the medium of film.

🎥 OPEN SCREENING AT THE BEM CINEMA

The films received will be screened at a public screening at the Bem Cinema on April 17, 2026. The gala event will provide an opportunity to meet the filmmakers in person, attend a Q&A session, and discuss the themes of the films.

This event will also serve as a platform for social discourse, where the films can have a direct impact on viewers.

In January 2016, the 108-year-old Bem Cinema will reopen its doors to the public, in a new way never seen before in Hungary: as a cinema of cult and classic films (no harm!), or as the educated French say (if you know your English): as a "repertory cinema".
