Between the lines // Swedish literature exhibition
With the support of the Embassy of Sweden, the Swedish Institute's exhibition of Swedish literature will open on 19 May 2023 as part of the PesText Nordic festival, and will be open until midnight on 31 May at the Three Raven Café.

INTRODUCTION TO THE EXHIBITION
"What I have written, I have written between the lines", confesses Swedish poet Gunnar Ekelöf (1907-1968), whose words not only reflect his own perception of his work, but can also be interpreted as a premise for literature as such.
Literature is not confined to a full page; it operates before, during and after writing. It is at once question and answer, activity and condition, individual quest and social cause.
In our exhibition, we present the reflections of some of the representatives of Swedish literature along the lines of a literary question. In this way, the visitor can gain insight into fundamental questions about the role and artistic nature of literature and enter a diverse literary space.
