Schedule

The first half of the night delivers authentic old-school breakbeat energy, followed by an exclusive one-hour tech-funk set packed with fresh, crisp, modern sounds.

Behind Elite Force stands **Simon Shackleton**, a defining figure of the UK electronic music scene. Active for over 30 years as a producer, DJ, and composer, he became known through legendary alter egos such as Elite Force, Lunatic Calm, and Zodiac Cartel. His music has appeared in films and video games — including iconic scenes from **The Matrix**.

Shackleton earned a master’s degree in classical composition from the **University of Exeter**, and his work uniquely blends technical club sounds with deeper, cinematic atmospheres. His style is often compared to the sonic worlds of **Massive Attack**, **UNKLE**, and **Trent Reznor**.

Over the years, he has collaborated with artists such as Thom Yorke (of **Radiohead**), **Moby**, and **Fatboy Slim**, and has performed at festivals including **Glastonbury Festival** and **Burning Man**. More recently, under his own name and with The Shadowmaker project, he has moved toward a more emotional, cinematic direction while preserving his club roots.

This night is a pure tribute to the past of breakbeat — while showcasing its present and future as well.

Location

A38 Ship

Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
