Ricky Martin is an iconic figure in Latin pop, remembered for hits such as Livin' la Vida Loca, Maria, She Bangs, and Nobody Wants to Be Lonely. Ricky Martin appeared in commercials at the age of nine, then began his pop singing career at the age of twelve as a member of the boy band Menudo. He released his first solo album in 1991 and has since sold over 95 million records, earning dozens of platinum records, two Grammy Awards, and five Latin Grammy Awards. He is a master of both hip-shaking, dance-floor-filling hits and passionate, romantic ballads.
