The Violent Youth is an international new wave/post-punk duo founded in Minsk (Belarus) and based in Augsburg (Germany) since 2017, led by Belarusian singer-multi-instrumentalist Arthur Tsymbal and bassist Julia Riegel. As part of the Belarusian post-punk scene, their music has been influenced by synth-pop, post-punk, and 1980s new wave sounds. Drawing on these influences, The Violent Youth's songs have a very unique sound that sets them apart from other artists.
Starting out on the Minsk underground post-punk scene, TVY confidently entered the European music scene. They have shared the stage with artists such as Drangsal, Edwin Rosen, and Nuovo Testamento, toured Mexico with Ploho, and released independent music videos. Their new album, "tsvety," will be released on March 20, 2026, by Artoffact Records.

Cawatana from Budapest, Hungary, has a longer history, formed originally in 1999, but in this form began its activities in 2018, by purchasing and deploying analog synthesizers, drum machines and sequencers, switching to purely hardware-based operation with electronic instruments. Previously they were very active in the international scene, publishing albums, mini albums and split releases through different labels from all over the world, playing concerts in several countries in Europe, and making it to the best and biggest festivals (e.g. they played at the world's largest "dark music festival", Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig twice), but then they did not perform anywhere for years, starting to play live again in 2020 at Fekete Zaj Festival, and becoming more active from 2023. In their latest set (which was also recorded as a live session at one of best clubs in Budapest, A38, and was broadcast on Hungarian Television) the elements of minimal synth/minimal wave, darkwave/coldwave and postpunk can be found through the emblematic characters of warm and hypnotizing analog synth pads and melodies, dynamic and clicking monosynth basslines and sequences, hard drum machine beats, powerful bass guitar accompaniment and rigid vocoder-modulated vocals.
