The screenplay for The Tragedy of Man was written in 1983. Production began in 1988 and, after many twists and turns, was only recently completed. What makes the film interesting is that Jankovics shot all 15 acts in different styles. We’ve already gotten a taste of individual acts over the past few years at various festivals and on television, but this is the complete, nearly 160-minute work.
