Wolfgang Valbrun (FR)

Born in New York, Wolfgang Valbrun is a talented singer-songwriter who, thanks to his mother’s eclectic taste and his own diverse experiences, has been strongly influenced by a mix of musical genres. His early musical interests ranged from reggae to soul to Kompa—a Haitian musical style. He left the United States as a teenager and eventually settled in Paris, where he expanded his musical palette to include soul, jazz, hip-hop, and Brazilian music.

His time in Venezuela further enriched his musical diversity, introducing him to salsa, merengue, and other Latin rhythms. Upon his return to France, Wolfgang’s career took off after he joined the avant-garde jazz/soul band “ephemerals.” The “Ephemerals”’ first album, “Nothin’ Is Easy,” became an instant hit, with the standout track “You Made Us Change” achieving worldwide success.

Wolfgang released three more albums and toured worldwide with his “Ephemerals” albums, while also collaborating and touring with French hip-hop legends “GUTS” and “Kraak & Smaak.”

Location

A38 Ship

Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
