The exhibition invites visitors on a visual journey where they can explore the boundaries of perception.
At the beginning of the exhibition, colors and forms pulsate in harmonious unity, evoking an almost musical structure.
On the ground floor, Dávid Merényi’s dynamic works, forming a color wheel, lead us into the reality of our everyday spaces—a reality that transcends the ordinary yet remains familiar. The surfaces, as carriers of human presence, reveal the connections between different levels of time and culture.

On the upper level of the exhibition, the harmony gradually breaks down, and the rhythm of the forms is disrupted. Tension arises in the compositions, creating a new visual dynamic.
In Konrád Kaszás’s paintings, the strikingly defined contours not only separate but also take on new shapes, which he fills with color.
The colored surfaces enter into a dialogue with one another and with the form enclosed by the lines. As we move forward, the forms slowly fade. Just as the rhythm disappears from the music, so do the picture surfaces become monochromatic.
In Barbara Szlávik’s works, the visible and the invisible enter into a subtle interaction; the fields of color extending beyond the pictorial objects invite a perception of harmony and melody.
The monochromatic surfaces radiate a meditative silence that is both soothing and unsettling, inquiring into the presence of absence. In the next phase, however, the color gradually recedes, as if questioning its own presence.
Karnevál coffee house and gastro bar
The Karnevál Café and Gastrobar is located in the heart of Szentendre, right on the Main Square, in a charming historic building. The venue serves as a café, a Mediterranean-style gastrobar, and an exhibition space, where guests can enjoy views of the town’s main square from the gallery level.
