About the training
WfC basic training does not require any prior training. It is highly recommended for anyone who wants to improve their relationship with themselves, their peers and the world, for those who are open to change and for those who are closed but want to open up.
This three-day session is likely to shake you up, shake you down and even upset you. At the same time, it will empower, awaken, inspire change and raise awareness. It encourages you and also gives you the key to living a quality life, to having quality relationships. What awaits you: three days of movement, physical exercises, touch-rich, real encounters, mindful presence towards yourself and your partner, your companions.
You will experience how you function in your relationships and what you can do to make your relationships valuable and harmonious.
Harmony is not passive, not rigid and not without danger.
This movement-based group work will help you to realise, through real, physical experience, what is needed to create dynamic and at the same time harmonious human relationships. We can experience that our relationships sometimes inevitably lead to a loss of balance, which in itself does not necessarily endanger the relationship, but can give us the impetus to seek and find our common centre of gravity in unexpected situations, in unfamiliar ways, in creative ways. It is in the constant movement of this common point and in the constant change of life's situations that we discover the dynamic balance that is the real inner security of the relationship.
The practice of Weight-flow Contact helps us to release our entrenched roles, to live our true identity, and continually teaches us to root our deepest essence in the present moment.
Self-awareness - Confidence - Autonomy - Responsibility - Decision-making
Through our experiences, the map of our former self-image is redrawn and clarified. Change moves us towards a new quality of life, so that we become more capable of living ourselves in a self-identical and creative way. We become able to be non-judgmental, non-judgmental, non-judgmental, accepting, and empathetic towards ourselves and others. We recognise that our lives unfold out of a series of our own choices, and that in each moment we can responsibly and freely choose how we live.
The term "weight" refers primarily to the body, our present physical self. Weight is the force with which the body is drawn towards the earth. This is gravity. We have weight because we have a body and we live on the Earth. So 'weight' means that we live here on Earth in our bodies, and this is one of the most defining pillars of our present human reality, 'flow' the quality of movement, of the ever-changing process of life and its free and joyful experience.
"Flow" here means consciously and yet spontaneously guiding our actions in accordance with the laws of nature, in harmony with constant change, so that we are present in our own lives at every moment, in a flow without spasms. "Flow" is therefore a quality of active Presence in the Now.
"Contact" refers to human relationships. We are all in constant contact with each other. It is an inescapable cornerstone of human life, of humanity. We deal with contact on three levels: my contact with myself, my contact with someone else and my contact with the world.
Artus
Artus is an open, diverse intellectual and creative workshop, a meeting place for people, ideas and art.
Artus is both Gábor Goda's company, the Artus Studio - a studio in an abandoned factory building of 2000 square metres - and the collective of 30 artists who work there, as well as the Association, which provides the institutional backdrop.
Founded in 1985, Artus is an independent, contemporary, all-arts collective. We have created more than 100 performances and presented them in 25 countries. Since the beginning we have organised international projects, residencies and co-productions.
The Studio's regular programmes include performances by the Artus company, guest performances, visual arts exhibitions, music and other cultural events, as well as self-awareness and movement workshops.
