The harmony of music and dance makes the dramas of our lives lighthearted. Together, they date back to the distant antiquity. Their paths later diverged, but through all time there has always been a sense of interdependence. There are many common features in the editing that bind them together: rhythm, beat, parallelism, counterpoint and solos. The performance is summed up by a tangled, exciting and intricate, almost opaque, yet mathematically precise, haunting tapestry of relationships. The purity of the ensemble's sensuous movement, its uniqueness and unmistakability, brings to life a lush and richly moving stage world. Based on a dynamic yet meditative movement, Rising Sun takes the viewer into interior landscapes with no sparing of silence as musicality. The GDC's energetic momentum of recent years is now to be enhanced by live music. The ensemble's pieces will continue to be performed by artistic director József Hámor / Gangaray Experimental Music, with the Ataru percussion ensemble. Another special feature of the performance is the participation of József Hámor and the ensemble's director, Kinga Tímea Maday, as co-creator.

National Dance Theatre
On 15 February 2019, Budapest's unique new cultural arena opened its doors: the new National Dance Theatre in Millenáris Park. The building, equipped with the latest theatre technology and featuring unique architectural solutions, offers two theatre halls and a chamber hall for dance lovers, as well as rehearsal rooms for professional dancers. The foyer of the building will also become a community space open to visitors to the park, giving Millenáris the opportunity to become even more part of the capital's bloodstream.
