Kalagor
The Berlin-Budapest Express is organised by the House of Hungarian Music in cooperation with the Berlin-based cultural organisation Digital in Berlin. The idea behind the weekend is to connect two culturally vibrant European capitals and to create a forum for cross-genre exchanges and innovative musical activities.

Schedule
Kalagor is a two-member Moldavian band playing mainly Csángó-Hungarian music. It was founded in 2004 by István Kelemen and Szabolcs Csibi in order to create an original and completely traditional violin-cobalt instrumental version of the revival Moldavian dance music, as opposed to the then flute-stringed cobalt-drum (which was less pseudo) orchestral line-up dominated by the flute-stringed cobalt-drum.
The birth of the ensemble was preceded by many years of collaboration in various revival orchestras, frequent service to the dance-calendars of Moldavian Csángó-Hungarian communities and, of course, a lot of opportunities to play and collect music with local data-communicating musicians. This is how the desire to share the knowledge and experiences they have gained here with the people who come to the dance halls was born. To make the experience even more complete, Csaba Érsek also joins the formation with his songs and stories.
Over the years, the members of Kalagor have maintained close ties with Moldavian Hungarians, not only enriching their knowledge but also passing on the knowledge they have already acquired to the children, often forming a bridge between them and the elders who are no longer with us.
