Mihály Schwechtje: The Inheritance - drama
A performance by the Heritage Group of Székesfehérvár, from a contemporary play by Mihály Schwechtje. The group was created specifically for this production in 2021. Since its premiere, the production has been performed in many venues, and in the previous season it won the main prize and acting awards at two national festivals. It will be staged for the first time at the MANYI.

The story is very contemporary and very poignant. A doctor returning home from abroad in a remote village somewhere in Hungary gradually comes face to face with the unimaginable, which the local community either tacitly assists or actively participates in. In conflict with his own brother, he must decide whether he will turn from an inactive and cynical bystander into a responsible actor. And the question is whether it is possible to act morally where God is silent...
