Andrea Pass: The Travelling Dog
The performance is recommended for audience over 14 years!
The Wandering Dog is an innocent stuffed animal. In his glass eyes, the big life lies of adults are revealed. A toy that connects parents whose children go to the same kindergarten. He wanders from family to family, sniffing out secrets along the way. Edina, the femme fatale, hosts a dinner with her child's father, William, for the parents of the kindergarten. The teddy dog arrives as an unexpected guest in the alcohol-fuelled party, accompanied by the slightly demented grandmother. The guests turn away in horror from the stuffed animal - who knows everything about them.
The world of the show is reminiscent of Hitchcock's films, at once a psychological thriller and a crime thriller. Entertaining but ruthless, surprising and daring, performed by fantastic actors.
(If the performance starts at 19.30, the expected end time is 21.10)
Opening night: 5 October 2018 Comedy Theatre House Stage
Vígszínház
The Vígszínház is one of the most historic and popular theatres in Budapest. Its three venues (the Main Stage, the House Stage Studio and Chamber, the Pest Theatre) have a total of more than 1700 seats. The theatre is also known as the cradle of modern Hungarian bourgeois drama, with famous authors such as Jenő Heltai, Sándor Bródy, Dezső Szomory, Menyhért Lengyel, Ernő Szép, Sándor Hunyady, Ferenc Herczeg, and others. In the 21st century, the majority of the world's theatres with large auditoriums have lost a good part of their audience. Despite this trend, the premieres of the Vígszínház are successful, and its performances are well attended. The theatre is located on the Újlipótváros side of Szent István körút in Budapest.
