Dramaturg: Áron Zoltán, András Tóth

Music by Tamás Cseh, János Másik, Áron Zoltán and the performers

Vizi and Ecsédi met. And this is where it all began. Their story was written by Géza Bereményi and performed by Tamás Cseh in two parts, two in Hungary: in 1979 (Front march) and in 1992 (Western Railway Station). The story was merged and now performed in a new guise by three young actors: Ákos Orosz, András Tóth and Áron Zoltán. The concert theatre performance is entirely the work of the creators, with dramaturgical assistance from the author.

How do Vizi and Ecsédi cope in '79 and '89 in Hungary, what obstacles do they have to overcome, what answer do they get or give to the most important question: who am I? Where am I? And what even they did not dare to ask: "Where am I?".

The performance will include songs from the 2nd albums of Géza Bereményi and Tamás Cseh Frontátvonulás, Nyugati pályaudvar and Bereményi - Cseh - János Másik Letter to my sister and some parts will be accompanied by additional music written by Áron Zoltán during the workshop.

Location

Vígszínház

The Vígszínház is one of the most historic and popular theatres in Budapest. Its three venues (the Main Stage, the House Stage Studio and Chamber, the Pest Theatre) have a total of more than 1700 seats. The theatre is also known as the cradle of modern Hungarian bourgeois drama, with famous authors such as Jenő Heltai, Sándor Bródy, Dezső Szomory, Menyhért Lengyel, Ernő Szép, Sándor Hunyady, Ferenc Herczeg, and others. In the 21st century, the majority of the world's theatres with large auditoriums have lost a good part of their audience. Despite this trend, the premieres of the Vígszínház are successful, and its performances are well attended. The theatre is located on the Újlipótváros side of Szent István körút in Budapest.
