Hanoch Levin's masterpiece, by one of the most prominent writers of Israeli drama, is full of love of life and humour, while at the same time speaking with painful honesty about the most important things: the unfulfilled desires of the young generation, love, loneliness, the unlivability of life and unfulfilled desires.

Hanoch Levin lived to be 55, but in his short life he created with great intensity: he wrote 56 plays, and his name is also remembered for songs, prose, poetry and major stage productions. His works have been part of the life of the Vígszínház for a long time, since 2013, when the theatre premiered The Passers-by on the main stage, and since 2006, one of his most famous and popular works, the tragic comedy Life as Such, has been performed with uninterrupted success on the House Stage.

First performed in 1975, Krum has lost none of its freshness and relevance in the decades since, and in recent years it has been rediscovered by major European theatres and successfully performed in many countries. The Vígszínház production is the premiere of the play in Hungary.
