The thriller centres on a secluded motel and its mysterious owner, Norman Bates. Perhaps Hitchcock's most perfect and classic film is the story of Norman Bates. It is not a simple crime thriller, but a fantastic, unforeseen psychological drama and, of course, murder. Anthony Perkins recalls his first encounter with Hitchcock before Psycho began filming. I was standing in a TV studio and a 200-pound colossus approached me. He looked at me and said, in a terrible English voice: - I am the director of Nightmare Vision..."
