TechnoCool - Saturday DJ sets in the dome
Art, music, recharge - a little relaxation before the holidays!
For the TechnoCool. New directions in Hungarian art of the nineties (1989-2001) exhibition, two young DJs, Maron and Klpflrtpr, are preparing sets mixing inspirational music of the nineties with contemporary compositions.
The extended opening programme will include a curatorial guided tour of the exhibition, and Nóra Winkler and Tünde Topor will guide you through the nineties.

The generation of artists that started out in the nineties was greatly influenced by the new digital tools, the influx of ideas and a different visual world that emerged after the regime change. Alongside high culture, pop culture, electronic music and advertising came to inspire. Issues such as the impact of human beings on the environment, the malleability of our identities and the relationship between digital and reality, which are perhaps even more relevant today, were raised. The guided tour will explore the art of a period that can seem both familiar and unfamiliar.

The name of Maron, who mixes exclusively from records, will sound familiar to many of you, as he has thrown memorable parties at most of Budapest's music venues with his diverse style.
An essential player in the underground electronic music scene is Klpflrtpr, a member of Hessz, whose influences range from jungle tracks to drum and bass to his own unique sound.
