VALAHOL EURÓPÁBAN
– musical két részben –

Schedule
Based on the film of the same title by Géza Radványi and Béla Balázs.
It is said that masterpieces are timeless and their message can transcend time and space. Somewhere in Europe, this wonderful Hungarian musical, is shockingly relevant today. At a time when there is fighting in our neighbourhood, the impact, the power, the message of a war story is multiplied for the viewer. Who would have imagined, even a year ago, that the history that was taking place would be so submerged in theatre, in art?
In the musical, a group of orphaned children wander in the middle of the war front. They long for a peaceful shelter where they can retreat for the night. And a good meal, of course. If they don't get food, they'll eat it themselves. But who could be angry with them? They just want to survive the war. Today, when millions have been forced to leave their homes, this is another shockingly familiar message.
In their wanderings, our young heroes meet many enemies, but also friends and well-wishers - such as a noble artist who teaches them the wonderful power of music and singing. And, of course, that even in times of great hardship, eternal values such as friendship, loyalty and courage should not be forgotten. Will the children's team overcome the obstacles they will face in the course of many adventures? Will they manage to remain human in the face of inhumanity?
These questions are answered in one of the most brilliant Hungarian musicals, with music by László Dés and a fantastic cast of children on the Hungarian Theatre Stage!
Composer: László Dés - Lyrics by István Nemes
Lyrics by György Böhm - György Korcsmáros - Péter Horváth
Recommended for children from 10 years!
