Maidens
We see four young girls on stage. Sometimes simultaneously, sometimes alternating. Sometimes they hand over the "baton" to each other. With music, singing, dancing, movement. Sometimes they encourage each other, sometimes they dominate. Sometimes they move closer and sometimes they move further away, but they always yearn: either for connection, for a man, or for separation, for independence

In 2023, the Duna Dance Workshop will once again present a new performance directed by the artistic director of the company, and this time the production will again be born through a collective creative process of contributors from different artistic fields.
In his 2021 performance of The Tenth Bride, Zsolt Juhász already drew heavily on the prevailing female dance forms in Hungarian (and many other peoples') authentic folk dance to relativise the subordinate role of choreography to that of male dance. The seven female characters portrayed seven different characters, their individuality shaping the choreography and vice versa.
National Dance Theatre
On 15 February 2019, Budapest's unique new cultural arena opened its doors: the new National Dance Theatre in Millenáris Park. The building, equipped with the latest theatre technology and featuring unique architectural solutions, offers two theatre halls and a chamber hall for dance lovers, as well as rehearsal rooms for professional dancers. The foyer of the building will also become a community space open to visitors to the park, giving Millenáris the opportunity to become even more part of the capital's bloodstream.
