Little Victor is distraught when his best friend, his dog, is hit by a car. He sets his mind to resurrect Sparky. The science experiment is a success and, to the boy's delight, the patched-up dog comes back to life. But Victor has no idea what the consequences will be. At first, he manages to hide Sparky from the outside world, but when he does get out of the house, not only Victor's neighbours, but the whole town is confronted with the fact that Sparky is no longer the friendly dog he used to be...
