His strikingly multi-layered works combine elements of different visual systems, summing up the experiences of his wide-ranging interests and offering the possibility of a myriad of layers of meaning. The exhibition at the Kunsthalle focuses on the 1980s and 1990s, as well as on recent works, significantly broadening the range of contexts in his oeuvre.
