We are in a small village somewhere in Hungary. Christmas is approaching.
Jankó and Bandi are brothers. They haven't seen each other since Bandi came of age and suddenly ran away unannounced to an unknown place. Now he is moving back home after eighteen years without a word, and bringing his wife with him.
Bandit's cousin, the newly elected local mayor, informs him of Janko's embarrassing fascination with human-shaped objects.

Margo used to live in Budapest, but her grandmother recently died and left her only grandchild to run the local pub. Margo is not good at this kind of business. Or much else, for that matter. Besides, apart from the memory of Mamuka, there's nothing to keep her in the country. But when she meets Janko, who is sitting in the nativity scene in the town square, she finds a strange, yet obvious, role in the story.
On Christmas Day, a mysterious man-sized package arrives from Shanghai. It is left on Jack's doorstep.
"My defining cinematic experience was an American independent film, Plastic Love, which was one of my major sources of inspiration when writing the play. A less pronounced motif really stuck with me. I often see this echoed in my own experience and in the stories of my generation, now in our thirties: we suffer from childhood traumas, from the inability to deal with family taboos. We are desperately struggling to find ourselves, while denying our parents, condemning them for their mistakes, which we then make again and again in our own lives. We are anxious, lonely, rootless. It seems like a vicious circle that can only be broken when we have dug ourselves so deep into our inevitable pit that it seems impossible to continue. Jack and Bandi will get that chance. Jurányi House
The Jurányi Production Community Incubator House has become a key venue in the capital's cultural life, a vibrant hub of the contemporary art scene.
Our aim in creating the Jurányi was to find a stable, shared home for the independent theatre and creative arts sector, providing the infrastructure necessary for its day-to-day operations. We wanted to create a cultural centre in the Buda area, a "contemporary art house" where theatre-loving young people could spend a few hours over a coffee or even a theatre performance, a creative children's activity or an acrobatic movement class, thus re-filling the abandoned educational institution with an active community life.
Jurányi is more than just a theatre in Buda, it is a creative and creative base where visitors can enjoy a varied artistic, community, and educational program, in addition to a regular repertoire of 300 productions a year. We are proud that the Jurányi House is now a graduation subject in some art schools.
