New year, new events at the Open Workshop! Another workshop organised by Szófa; on Thursday 25 January, we will discuss Anita Harag's book Somebody to always think about with the author and Péter Borbáth. The discussion will be moderated by Regina Anna Mirkó.
The Sofa is pure literature. We do not advertise and we do not sell your data. We organise these events because for us Hungarian culture, contemporary literature is a WHOLE thing. The event is free, you can support us by subscribing to Szófa. In return, you can read online the content of 9 contemporary fiction magazines and Szófa's own material, such as Péter Borbáth's review of Anita Harag's book.
Admission is free (but all support is gratefully accepted).

The Open Workshop is a fine place, a place where many different kinds of people can feel at home, which is to say that there is something that is rare and difficult to create, the spirit of the place. This spirit is very sympathetic to me, because it means both that there are shows that interest me and that the occasional stew is okay. And that I'm likely to meet people there who I'm happy to meet, and it's not even out of the question that they're me. Such public (open) spaces are rare in Budapest.
