it's fine _____________________a helpless exhibition
Founded in 2022, it's fine defines itself as an anti-superhero movement. They deny that the world is a positive place, but choose to confront it instead of anxiety. They formulate their social critique with a profound irony that exudes a sincere bitterness, a depression that pervades our world, a desire for hopelessness and the capacity for blissful ignorance.
In 2023, members of the it's fine artists' group first presented their art statement in the stripped-down underground spaces of the Bunker Gallery, summarising the movement's views in their 10-point manifesto.
Schedule
The four-storey space of Godot Labor is about to be demolished with renewed agony, a callous admission of their hopelessness. Refusing the audience's request for a more optimistic tone, they continue along the paved road, as the world has not become a happier place and absurdity has reached its peak.
It's fine 2 is an ode to inertia, a hymn to ineffectiveness, a netherworld of despair for which they seek an audience. The aim of the exhibition is to amplify the critical voice, to muddy the waters of the domestic art scene, and to unite the masses, tired of the expectation of constant motivation, in a radical disillusionment, saturated with fatigue.
