ECHO - Exhibition of Norbert László Bálint Painter

2024-02-07T18:00:00.000Z  -  2024-03-01T18:00:00.000Z

Norbert Bálint started his art studies in 2015 at the Imre Palló Art Lyceum in Odorheiu Secuiesc, in the painting department. In 2019 he was admitted to the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, where he continues his studies in the master class of József Gaál. The first large-scale exhibition in which he participated, "Simultaneous Body Images", was held in 2021 in the Lobby of the University of Fine Arts. In 2023 he won first prize in the Amadeus Artists' Scholarship Competition, and in the same year he exhibited in the group exhibition "Small Shallal" at the Godot Gallery.

The current collection explores the echoes of anxieties about the body - "echoes that, in the absence of self-reflection, become increasingly powerful and can lead to self-distortion, to a blurring of the perception of reality. The word echo is Latin, derived from Gorean mythology, and means echo. Echo was a mountain nymph whose ability to speak was cursed so that he could only repeat the last words spoken to him." Schedule

Hybridart Management started its creative agency in 2005, and has implemented numerous national and international programmes over the past 18 years: art festivals, gastronomic events, creative competitions, exhibitions, design fairs, upcycling camps, public space installations, sustainability workshops. Like their name, their projects are hybrid: their works are designed and executed to break out of classical forms and frameworks, creating new perspectives and contexts. This is the spirit in which they have been organising our regular events for years, the Art Moments festival, the Cégér - Design a label for good wine! gastro design competition, the Zenith Art Exchange international art exchange programme, the Gift Terminal pop-up design fair, the Hybridart Camp international summer art camp for environmentally conscious thinking and sustainability, the Trash Art competition, the WasteRevolution sustainability meetup, and the Hybridart Space gallery in the centre of Budapest.

The event is co-organised by the Culture Factor Project. The event series of the Bázis Addiktológiai Szolgálat in Pécs would like to look at the phenomenon of recovery from several angles through the perspectives of art and culture. In addition to professional, addiction-related events, their events, which are funded by donations and supported by voluntary work, regularly present artists struggling with addiction and productions related to the topic of addictions. These events include concerts, theatre performances, photo exhibitions, professional and literary discussions. Their guests and supporters have included professionals and artists who have struggled with addiction, such as Gábor Zacher, Péter András Kovács, Orsolya Karafiáth and Tibi Kiss (Quimby).
