Four strangers - a child, two women and a man - meet a mysterious man. All of the lonely souls were contemplating suicide, and the mysterious man gave them a week to see what the world would be like without them. Who would miss them, who would change their lives? And in the process, they could answer the question: would they be able to love themselves and life again?
