The hero of your dreams

What would you do if suddenly everyone on the street recognised you? That's what happens to Paul (Oscar-winning Nicolas Cage), a biology professor who has led a rather drab family life. He felt his career had reached a dead end and was constantly frustrated by the success of his colleagues. Fame is catching up with him, not because of his finally-well-written book, but because Paul is appearing in more and more people's dreams. People he has never met before are dreaming of him. The situation, at first annoying, then increasingly impressive, turns into a hellish torture when Paul turns into a nightmare nightmare nightmare and his fans turn on him.
