Vera (Vera Centenara), 7, is a big-city girl, but she loves spending time with her grandparents in the countryside. Her grandfather has a huge tobacco farm, which gives Vera the perfect environment to get away from the city. As well as the fields, which are ideal for running around, the tobacco barn also piques her interest, but there's a secret she's not being told. Vera begins to befriend Nieves (Ada Mar), a farm worker who helps the family at her father's urging, while she and her friends enjoy the nightlife that is so typical of teenagers. Although she tries to do her job properly despite her lack of sleep, she makes no secret of her disgust and caged-in feeling. The two girls get on well together, bound by their drive to find themselves, and both have a sense of adventure. And adventure suddenly finds them when they meet a friendly magical creature on the farm who instantly changes their perspective on their imagined reality.
