For years, the introductory version of Swan Lake for young children, Little Swan Lake, has been a great success. The time has come for a sequel, to turn the concept into a series. The 2022/23 season saw the first production of Little Swan Lake, with which OPERA aims to engage children at an early age in the magical world of ballet. This time, the story of Sleeping Beauty and the music of Tchaikovsky will be introduced to young people: ballet students and audience alike. The story will be told by a storyteller, and then performed on stage in the special language of ballet, where the students of the Hungarian National Ballet Institute will learn about theatre, ballet and the process of creating performances with professional partners and in professional surroundings, and will have the opportunity to practice their craft in real life. It is also an opportunity for parents to see their children's activities. The narrator's text is written by Dorottya Szendrődy, dance history and etiquette teacher at the Ballet Institute. Although not as detailed as the original Sleeping Beauty ballet, Little Sleeping Beauty covers the plot from beginning to end.
