Spiritualized
Formed after the split of Spacemen 3, the pioneers of British noise rock in the eighties, Spiritualized, led by Jason Pierce, has been the defining act of British neo-psychedelic rock music for over thirty years, and finally - for the first time - they are playing in Hungary!

Schedule
From gospel choirs, to the turmoil of blues and psychedelic rock, the energy of garage rock, free jazz escapades, soulful melodies, classic minimalism, ethereal, spacerock, shoegaze arrangements, ambient crossovers and symphonic-artistic rock, Spiritualized's music is the essence of the entire history of pop music. It's no coincidence that their best-known album, Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space, is one of the best albums of the 1990s in the great pop music canon, and in the year of its release even overtook Radiohead's OK Computer in the UK year-end charts. Spiritualized's influence from Tame Impala to MGMT to King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard is long, but more importantly, the songs on their nine albums to date, all of which have been of consistently high quality, have always channeled the chaos of the world with goose-skin originality, leading the listener into a sense of angelic beauty and infinity.
The concert is organised by Müpa Budapest as part of the Bartók Spring Festival in collaboration with the Akvarium Club.
Akvárium
As they describe themselves, it is Budapest's most frequented venue, which is also multifunctional. Akvárium is great for award ceremonies, afternoon coffees and, most importantly, concerts, thanks to the well-picked, cross-genre selection.
