Hybridart Space cordially invites you to the opening of Gergő Sós's exhibition MONOTON/MONOKROM on 6 March at 18:00.
Gergő Sós's art has a very unique value, his research theme is the monochrome representation of schematic relief and morphological forms. The formal basis of his works is the relief pattern of the Balaton highlands, he treats the lacework of surface forms as two-dimensional sectional images and schematizes and reduces this pattern and form culture.
The main goal of the system he has developed is to make these visual performance notes audible through drone music. The GPS coordinates of a location can be converted to a frequency domain, thereby distorting the sound according to the relief pattern to give a monotone/monochrome imprint of that location.
