BMC30 | Moment's Notice Quartet – Dedicated to the memory of András Kégl

The half-day concert series organised to mark BMC’s 30th anniversary at the Opus Jazz Club will be brought to a close by the globetrotting quartet, one of whose key members is BMC’s founding director, László Gőz. The music of the Moment’s Notice Quartet is framed by electronic influences, which are then filled out by instruments differing in both sound and character, creating a sensitive and enchanting chamber music dialogue. The ensemble takes to the stage each time having agreed only on the basic concept – their sounds emerge without prior planning, born in the fleeting reality of the moment, illuminating the connections between jazz, classical and contemporary music, and electronic music. At this concert, too, the four musicians will demonstrate the art of spontaneous, joyful music-making at its finest.
