***Not recommended for children under the age of twelve.***
The story of a summer, under the spell of guitar, girls, cigarette smoke, booze, rock, new wave and post-punk. A star sees talent in the 19-year-old musician, who becomes the hero of the only Leningrad rock club operating under the ever-vigilant supervision of Soviet underground music and at the same time the authorities. But the relationship between the mentor and his prosthetic is threatened by the attraction that develops between the initially shy guy and the man's wife.
The narrow air of the eighties and Viktor Tsoi and Mike Naumenko, who still enjoy a huge cult today, are presented in Kirill Serebrennikov's latest film, Summer. The fact that its director was accused of fraud by the Russian state during filming and is currently under house arrest gives sad relevance to the film, which claims the relationship between power and artists as one of its central themes.

Bem Cinema
In January 2016, the 108-year-old Bem Cinema will reopen its doors to the public, in a new way never seen before in Hungary: as a cinema of cult and classic films (no harm!), or as the educated French say (if you know your English): as a "repertory cinema".
