Orbay Lilla

Lilla Orbay is one of the most outstanding and versatile figures of the younger generation of Hungarian jazz, actively involved in the work of her own ensemble as a singer, composer, bandleader and pianist. Their music draws on the melody-driven, atmospheric world of the 1970s, blended with modern arrangements and the band members’ distinctive improvisations. The band has gained recognition both at home and internationally, having performed at festivals including EuroJazz in Mexico City and the Amersfoort World Jazz Festival in the Netherlands, amongst others. Their debut single, titled *Paradise Ablaze*, was released in December 2023.
