Lili Ország 100 – I Walk in the Sky | Reading Theatre Performance with Adéll Jordán
Painter Lili Ország was born one hundred years ago, on August 8, 1926. The Kiscelli Museum's fine art collection preserves significant paintings and graphic works from Lili Ország's oeuvre.
We commemorate the centennial of the artist's birth with a reading theater performance in Templomtér.

The structure of the text construction titled I am walking in the sky attempts to show and explore the directions of the painter's thinking: how the constant questions and challenges of creative existence intersect with the absurd moments of Kafka's interpretation of the world and existence, how the many moments of the painter's life are permeated by the Kafka stories he constantly reads.
The text construction was compiled by Emese Zsoldos from literary fragments and documents.

Kiscelli Museum
The Kiscelli Museum and its 15 hectares of parkland are located in the 3rd district of Budapest, between Óbuda and Remetehegy. The 18th century Baroque church and Trinitarian monastery, built by the Zichy family, was used as a barracks by the army in the 19th century. In 1910 it became the property of furniture manufacturer Miksa Schmidt, who later had it converted into a castle, hence the name Schmidt Castle. It is now home to the Budapest History Museum's collection of Modern Urban History and the Budapest City Gallery, the fine arts collection.
