Through film excerpts and hands-on exercises, participants will discover how sound can alter the meaning and emotional impact of a scene. Through analysis, they will learn core concepts and tools, applying them directly to specific scenes.
The workshop will be led by Bence Kovács-Vajda, who works as a sound designer shaping the sonic worlds of feature films, theater productions, and other interdisciplinary art forms. Under the alias Voiwode, he produces experimental electronic music ranging from industrial-ambient composed pieces to freely improvised live sets. His creative practice heavily emphasizes soundscape research and the use of synthetic generative systems.
