To celebrate the 30th anniversary of *Trainspotting* this year, Bem Mozi is hosting special screenings and featuring unique films. We’ll be announcing the full program for the anniversary season over the next few days, starting, of course, with the 30-year-old masterpiece itself: Danny Boyle’s legendary cult film.

Mark and his friends are unable to fit into society—not that they have many opportunities to do so in an Edinburgh in economic decline. They’re all losers, drifting aimlessly from place to place. Their only escape is drugs; high on heroin, they journey through a universe of their own imagination. The only thing that puts a stop to their high is when they run out of the stuff. They live only to get their next fix. But fate offers Mark one last chance.

In January 2016, the 108-year-old Bem Cinema will reopen its doors to the public, in a new way never seen before in Hungary: as a cinema of cult and classic films (no harm!), or as the educated French say (if you know your English): as a "repertory cinema".
