Flash Gordon (1980)

After the Anglo-Saxon musical films of 2025 and the Hungarian documentaries of spring 2026, international productions will once again be featured in the Rock Film Club’s autumn 2026 lineup. Alongside Leto/Summer (2018), which presents the Soviet underground rock music of the 1980s and the rebellious world of the Leningrad rock clubs, two films connected to the Freddie exhibition on view at the House of Hungarian Music until the end of 2026 will be screened: Flash Gordon (1980) and Highlander (1986), whose music was composed by Queen and released at the time as a standalone album. After the screenings, Béla Szilárd Jávorszky, professional associate of the Pop Culture Club Library, will talk with Dénes Varga.
