Tamás Révész’s independent photographic work is often characterised by the fact that he is one of the leading exponents of lyrical documentary photography. Like his role model, André Kertész, his emotionally charged photographs are defined by the small, fleeting moments of everyday life.

The exhibition, held across three galleries at the Műcsarnok, presents nearly a hundred photographs showcasing the diverse facets of the human condition. Our selection highlights the snapshot-like aesthetics of spontaneous street photography just as much as the dynamism of photojournalism or the architecture of modern urban spaces. The visual memoir that emerges from these images is a rich body of work, capturing both heart-wrenching and uplifting moments from Budapest to New York and from Ecuador to Sicily.
