Pretty blonde secretary Marion walks away with her boss's money. She buys a new car outside the city, and although his nervous behavior is noticed by the police, they let her go. At night, she stops by a steep motel next to a side road, and then they have dinner with the gentle but strange owner.
The thriller centers on a secluded motel and its mysterious owner, Norman Bates. Perhaps Hitchcock's most perfect and classic film is the story of Norman Bates. We can see not simple crime fiction, but fantastic, unsuspected psychological drama and, of course, murders. Anthony Perkins recounted his first meeting with Hitchcock before filming Psycho began: "It was creepy. I was standing in a TV studio and a one hundred and sixty kilo colossus was approaching me. He looked at me and said in some awful English, "I'm the director of the nightmare..."
