Ten years ago, NewSkool Music School began with just a few students and a single program. Since then, countless students, countless concerts, bands, songwriting camps, and shared musical experiences have shaped the community we know today as NewSkool.

Let’s celebrate these ten years together on August 16 on the rooftop terrace of the A38 Ship.
The anniversary concert will feature a return to the most memorable concert themes of the past ten years. Songs from previous years will be performed again on stage by the students, making the evening a concert, a reunion, and a collective look back at NewSkool’s first decade all at once.
For NewSkool, it has always been important that learning take place beyond the classroom. Student concerts, ensemble work, songwriting camps, and collaborative creation have all been defining parts of the past ten years. This evening is a celebration of these experiences.
We invite all current and former students, parents, friends, and anyone interested to join us in celebrating NewSkool’s first ten years.

A38 Ship
Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
