Csík Band at Bánya Kert
On July 24, one of the most influential and beloved bands in Hungarian folk music, the Csík Band, will take the stage at Bánya Kert.
Enjoying unbroken popularity for more than 38 years, this Kossuth Prize-winning band uniquely blends traditional Hungarian folk music with the sounds of the contemporary music scene. At their concerts, the timeless values of folk music meet the familiar melodies of rock, pop, and alternative music, so each performance both honors tradition and speaks to today’s audience.

Over the years, the Csík Band has collaborated with such outstanding artists as Gábor Presser, András Lovasi, János Karácsony, Tibor Kiss, Hobo, and Norbi Bagossy. Since 2025, they have continued their journey with a renewed lineup featuring singer and violinist Tibor Gál, preserving all the musical sophistication, passion, and energy that have become the Csík Band’s trademark.
