What does the singularity and the almost unfathomable speed of AI development hold for us? When does a machine become conscious—and can it ever really become so at all? Where lies the line between human and machine, and what happens when this boundary gradually turns into a gray zone?
Exploring popular sci-fi classics, films lying on the distant horizons of cinema, as well as arthouse and peripheral works sidelined from mainstream cinematic discourse, we will examine one of the primary pet themes of futurists, quantum physicists, and sci-fi writers: is the rapid advancement of technology a blessing or a curse?
