The Baló Sámuel Trio approaches the world of contemporary jazz through open forms, collective improvisation and intensive attention to each other. Their music is based on the traditions of jazz, while Samuel’s compositions are opened by elements of free improvisation and complemented by song-like, makeshift interludes. The emphasis is on creating a diverse, exciting musical fabric through the formation of form at the moment and dynamic musical communication.

The special feature of the concert is that as a guest artist of the piano-bass-drum trio, he invited the Slovenian saxophonist Luka Zabric, who lives and works in Copenhagen. Zabric’s openness and individual musical thinking also took the musical processes in new directions during previous joint concerts, opening up fresh perspectives in the development of orchestral interaction and emerging musical fabric.
