MÚZÉJ | Keep Your Head Up! - In the Making: Photo Tourism at the Night of Museums Photo Workshop, Night Lab, and Collaborative Creative Space
2026-06-20T15:00:00.000Z
At the 3rd National Salon of Photographic Art, visitors can wander through the diverse worlds of photography. The evening’s imaginary journey leads from archaic techniques to moving figures created from collages. In Péter Laczkó’s unique mobile photo lab—a van workshop specially designed for the occasion—glass prints are created live using archaic techniques. Visitors can observe up close the rare process of slow, artisanal photography, in which the image takes shape from light, time, and chemicals.

Schedule
Another creative station within the exhibition space explores the relationship between photography and play. Using collage and montage techniques applied to portraits taken with a point-and-shoot camera, new figures are created: imaginary creatures with movable limbs, peculiar characters, and story characters. The resulting figures can be used to create shared stories, mini-scenes, and improvised paper theaters, where photography is no longer just an image, but also movement, play, and storytelling.
Location: Room IV
The program is open to visitors on a first-come, first-served basis.
Location
Kunsthalle Budapest
The largest exhibition hall in Budapest, in Heroes Square, just the opposite the Museum of Fine Arts.
