KILL BILL – THE WHOLE BLOODY STORY

(Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair - in original language with Hungarian subtitles)

color, subtitled, American film, 275’, 2004

directed by: Quentin Tarantino

starring: Uma Thurman, David Carradine, Daryl Hannah, Lucy Liu, Michael Madsen

***Not recommended for viewers under 18.***

Quentin Tarantino’s classic in a special format, just as the director originally envisioned it for the screen: as a single film.

Kill Bill: The Complete Bloody Story includes the two original films, but with numerous changes and additional scenes—including a seven-and-a-half-minute anime segment created jointly by Tarantino and Epic Games using the Fortnite video game engine.

The film runs 275 minutes, which includes a 15-minute intermission.

The Bride (Uma Thurman) was once a notorious female assassin, a member of a world-class team of female assassins. But she became pregnant and wanted to get married, and the boss couldn’t let that happen. On her wedding day, the team’s leader, Bill (David Carradine), massacres everyone. With her dying breath, the Bride tells Bill that she is pregnant and carrying his child. She does not die from the gunshot to the head, but after five years in a coma, she swears bloody revenge against her boss and former teammates. No one knows when their turn will come. Only one thing is certain: Bill will be the last in line.

Bem Cinema

In January 2016, the 108-year-old Bem Cinema will reopen its doors to the public, in a new way never seen before in Hungary: as a cinema of cult and classic films (no harm!), or as the educated French say (if you know your English): as a "repertory cinema".
