The forest has always been the natural setting of myths. It is a timeless landscape that gives space to ever-changing stories and characters, regardless of their cultural or historical origins. Mythologies, as products of the collective unconscious, form a shared world that can be imagined as a forest.

The central painting of the exhibition depicts a fragment of this Forest of the Unconscious. Within this world, separate myths coexist simultaneously. On one side, Narcissus admires his reflection, while elsewhere in the same scene, Daphne flees from the embrace of Apollo. There are no boundaries between the myths portrayed; the scenes intertwine, creating a new narrative. The title work is the conceptual core of the exhibition—a kind of source from which the other paintings emerge. It serves as the starting point, offering a distant view of the forest, while the remaining works move closer, each bringing a particular character or myth into focus.

All of these figures belong to the forest, yet some become one with nature itself. Through the metamorphosis of these mythical beings, trees and their fruits acquire new meanings. The forest is therefore more than a setting; every tree preserves a story.

The paintings in the exhibition offer a glimpse into this inner world.
